Dr. NSANGOU Issofa

Dr. Nsangou Issofa

Born on June 7, 1964 in Foumban, Dr. Nsangou Issofa hails from the Noun Division in the West Region of the Republic of Cameroon.

After university studies at the State University of Moldavia in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), he obtained a Master of Science in Theoretical Physics in 1991. In 2011, he obtained a PhD in Physics, specialising in "Condensed Matters", from the University of Dschang, Cameroon.

Prior to his appointment on July 7, 2011 as member of the Electoral Board, this lecturer by rank had occupied the following positions:

  • Tutor at the Physics Department of the University of Yaounde, Cameroon, from 1992 to 1993;
  • Assistant Lecturer at the Physics Department, University of Dschang, Cameroon, from 1994;
  • Coordinator and Acting Head of the Physics Department at the University of Dschang, from 1994 to 1998;
  • Lecturer, Department of Physics in the University of Dschang, Cameroon, since 2005.

Dr. NSANGOU ISSOFA is author of several publications in the field of physics notably:

  • L.C FAI, I. NSANGOU, R TCHITNGA, D.TCHASSEM: "POLARON IN QUASI 1D QUANTUM WIRE"; International Summer School for Young Researchers on Quantum Transport in Mesoscopic Scale & Low  Dimensions (ISSP INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP) August 13-21, 2003;
  • L.C. FAI, I. NSANGOU, V.B MBORONG: "MAGNETOPOLARON IN A CYLINDRICAL NANOCRISTAL "Review of the Cameroon Academy of Sciences”, Vol. 4 No.3 (2004).

On July 21, 2011, Dr. NSANGOU ISSOFA took the following oath of office before the Constitutional Council: “I swear to fully and faithfully discharge my duties and to exercise my office without fear or favour in accordance with the Constitution and laws in force, to ensure the confidentiality of proceedings and votes, to abstain from taking public positions and to decline any consultation on matters falling within the purview of Elections Cameroon.”
