Mana Nschwangele Jules


Born on February 24, 1942 at Ebome Kribi, Mr. Jules MANA NSCHWANGELE is a son of the Ocean Division in the South Region of Republic of Cameroon.

Following post-graduate studies in the Advanced Teachers’ Training College - Yaounde, he obtained a Certificate of Competence in Secondary General Education (CAPCEG) in 1968 and a Diploma of Secondary School Teachers of General Education (DIPLEG) in 1978.

Prior to his appointment to the Electoral Board, this High School Physics Teacher had occupied the following positions of responsibility:

  • Teacher from 1968 to 1975;
  • Principal from 1975 to 1981;
  • Head of different Services at MINEDUC from 1981 to 1990;
  • Lord Mayor of the Kribi Rural Council, and then Municipal Councilor at the Kribi Urban Council from 1990 to 1998;
  • Board Member of the National Hydrocarbons Corporation, 1993;
  • Manager of the Atlantic Community Fishing Development Project in 2006.

On January 29, 2009, he took the following oath of office before the Constitutional Council: “I swear to fully and faithfully discharge my duties and to exercise my office without fear or favour in accordance with the Constitution and laws in force, to ensure the confidentiality of proceedings and votes, to abstain from taking public positions and to decline any consultation on matters falling within the purview of Elections Cameroon.”
