Born around 1955 in Tibati, Mrs. SADOU DAOUDOU née LADY BAWA hails from the Djerem Division in the Adamawa Region of the Republic of Cameroon.

After undertaking university studies from 1975 to 1980, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and in Economics. From 1980 to 1988, she enrolled into the Cameroon Institute of International Relations where she obtained a ‘Diplôme de 3ème Cycle’ in International Relations.

Prior to her appointment in December 2008 as member of the Electoral Board of Elections Cameroon, Mrs. SADOU DAOUDOU née Lady BAWA had held the following positions:

  • Social and Cultural Affairs Adviser at the Adamawa  Governor’s Office from 1988 to 1999;
  • Director of the Ngaoundere University Student Welfare Centre from 1999 to 2007;
  • iDirector of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the University of Ngaoundere from 2007 to 2008.

On January 29, 2009, she took the following oath of office before the Constitutional Council; “I swear to fully and faithfully discharge my duties and to exercise my office without fear or favour in accordance with the Constitution and laws in force, to ensure the confidentiality of proceedings and votes, to abstain from taking public positions and to decline any consultation on matters falling within the purview of Elections Cameroon.”
