#237Vote:Fourth ordinary session of the Electoral Board for the year 2019

Section 18 of the Electoral Code sets out that: “The Electoral Board shall hold 4 (four) ordinary sessions each year when convened by its Chairperson”.

It is therefore in keeping with this legal provision that the fourth ordinary session of the Electoral Board for the year 2019 held this Monday, 30 December 2019, in the Conference Room at the Head Office of Elections Cameroon, located within the administrative neighbourhood.In his opening statement, the Chairperson of the Electoral Board, ENOW Abrams EGBE, thanked his colleagues for honouring this final session for the year 2019 with their presence.

In reality, this last ordinary session for the year 2019 focussed on certain items, notably: examination and adoption of reports on the sessions as of right held on 15 and 29 November as well as on the thirdordinary session of the Electoral Board held on 9 October 2019; level of execution of the 2019 budget; examination and approval of the budget of Elections Cameroon.

It could be construed at the conclusion of this final ordinary session that the year 2019 recorded lots of successes, among which features the upgrading of partnership agreements with international institutions. ENOW Abrams EGBE also acclaimed the cordial relations that exist within the Electoral Board.

In conclusion, after drawing the road map for the year 2020, the Chairperson of the Electoral extended his New Year Wishes to participants, watched by a throng of media outfits, present to relay this ultimate working session for the year 2019 to the public.
